STAC has designed our First Aid Response Course to produce highly confident First Aiders with the skills and knowledge to provide care until emergency services arrive. The course is focused on practical skills and scenario training, backed up with theory sessions to provide a solid foundation of knowledge and understanding.

On completion of the First Aid Responder course, participants will have the skills to:
• Deal with life-threatening or potentially life-threatening conditions in the pre-hospital environment until the arrival of emergency medical services.
• Provide first aid response for conditions that are not thought to be life-threatening but are necessary to prevent further harm before the emergency medical services arrive.
• Provide pre-hospital First Aid Response in a wide range of environments, including home and recreational settings.
• Display the requisite personal skills, including composure, competence and self-confidence, while understanding their limitations.
AHLS CHEMICAL BURNS

AHLS for Chemical Burns & Toxic Products of Combustion Course is a 1day course derived from the AHLS Provider course. The specialized course teaches healthcare professionals to medically manage chemical burns and toxic inhalation injuries, including carbon monoxide and cyanide poisoning.

The course consists of a didactic lecture and tabletop exercises. No exams or prerequisites are required.

Sinnott Training & Certification Ltd is making courses available to our clients. The Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) has designed new education and training modules to offer appropriate training to existing and new responders who wish to avail of PHECC-certified additional training in 6 medications as listed. This has been possible by SI No. 449 of 2015 Medicinal Products (Prescription and Control of Supply) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2015 and PHECC clinical practice guidelines (CPGs).
